Do you know how widely used Bag in Box packaging is?
There are at least 10 different product groups that extensively use Bag in Box as one of their primary packaging formats:
2. Juice
Juice Bag in Box (BIB) packaging formats are very popular for filling NFC juices (Not From Concentrate), BIO juices, Organic juices and Cold-pressed juices. All these are high-quality products and people all over the world love to drink Bag in Box juice - best for you and your family.
Usually, juice in Bag in Box is filled in transparent EVOH/LDPE bags, however, there are customers that still prefer the metallized version of the bags. Both bags are suitable for hot-filling of pasteurized juice between 82.5 and 85 degrees Centigrade. Customers can also buy aseptic bags for juice if their filling and processing technology is aseptic.
Most standard sizes for Bag in Box juice are: 2L, 3L, and 5L. For storage purposes or HoReCa producers may also use 10L and 20L bags.
Main advantages of Juice BIB:
- Juice stays fresh for 2-4 weeks after opening, because of the no-air-return taps - (in tetra-bricks or glass bottles expiry date is 2-3 days after opening)
- Easy and convenient sizes and dispensing suitable for domestic use (3L and 5L) - no lifting required by children or elderly people
- Ideal for hotels, bars and restaurants with dispensing solutions (see photo)
- Eco-friendly solution
NEW trends:
a) 220L EVOH drum bags with 1’’ inch Elpo cap for hot-filled pasteurized juice. Very good for storage of ready made juices, especially for seasonal juices like: aronia (chokeberry), strawberry, blueberry, ginger, bio apples, etc. Also, perfect for frozen fruit purees, where aseptic barrier is unnecessary (see photo).
b) White/Red tap in combination with transparent foil - better recycling credentials.
