Today is a defining moment for SUNOTEC.

We are announcing a partnership structured equity investment from funds managed by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities.

This agreement reflects the strength of what SUNOTEC has built and supports the next phase of our international growth. With Blackstone as an investor, we will accelerate our expansion across Europe, scale our integrated platform, and further strengthen our capabilities across power generation, battery storage, and grid infrastructure.

SUNOTEC has established itself as one of Europe’s leading integrators of renewable energy infrastructure, with approximately 15 GW of installed solar capacity across global markets. In the last two years alone, we delivered 5 GW of utility-scale solar and 5 GWh of battery energy storage systems. As the energy transition accelerates, the demand for scalable, integrated energy infrastructure continues to grow.

This investment positions SUNOTEC to play an even stronger role in this next phase and enables us to expand our international footprint by delivering increasingly complex infrastructure projects.

The company's founder and management remain majority shareholders and will continue to set the strategic direction and oversee operations.

600+ students. 100 mentors. 50 guest mentors. Dozens of startup ideas ready to take their first step into the real world.

This is the “Weekend of Ideas”, part of Season 8 of the Teenovator program, during which SUNOTEC was once again proud to be among the main sponsors supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Teenovator is a national volunteer program in which students develop entrepreneurial skills, building their own startup ideas and pitching them to an investor jury, with the potential for real funding.

During the Weekend of Ideas, the entire community came together for two intensive and inspiring days. Students refined their business concepts, validated ideas with mentors, and presented them to a jury and audience. Bold questions, creative solutions, and the confidence that shows entrepreneurial thinking are already growing in today’s classrooms.

For SUNOTEC, supporting initiatives like Teenovator is part of a broader vision: to help create an environment where innovation, practical learning, and initiative are actively encouraged. Because investing in young people today means investing in the future of business and society tomorrow.

Battery storage only creates value when it is integrated.

At our Pernik co-location project in Bulgaria, SUNOTEC combines 32 MWp of solar capacity with 61 MWh of battery storage, transforming a former landfill into flexible, grid-ready clean energy infrastructure.

In this episode of the series by SolarPower Europe’s Battery Storage Europe Platform, Viktor Stefanov, Head of IPP at SUNOTEC, shares what Europe needs to accelerate large-scale BESS deployment:

✅ Harmonised legislation across European markets
✅ Faster permitting processes
✅ Investment in grid infrastructure

As Bulgaria emerges as one of Europe’s leading battery storage markets, integrated project delivery becomes essential, from planning and engineering to construction, grid connection and beyond.

Co-located BESS is no longer a capacity add-on. Its value depends on how effectively it is engineered, permitted, and integrated into existing utility-scale grid infrastructure.

SUNOTEC’s new administrative and logistics complex in the Stochna Gara area has been awarded “Building of the Year” in the Office Building category, recognising excellence in architecture, sustainability, and urban development.

More than a building, the project demonstrates how thoughtful, sustainable design can drive the regeneration of industrial urban areas. Strategically located in a central industrial zone, the complex initiates the long-term transformation of the Stochna Gara district into a modern, integrated urban hub where business, logistics, and community coexist.

The complex is not merely an administrative building, but a multifunctional business space designed to be the home of SUNOTEC’s culture, vision, and energy.
