When education becomes a community, inclusion becomes a reality.

We are happy to announce the successful completion of the 2nd International Summer School on Inclusive Education & Inclusive Technology, a unique international initiative attended by teachers, academics and specialists committed to building more inclusive education systems.

Hosted at the inspiring premises of the International Olympic Academy in Ancient Olympia, the Summer School welcomed 50 participants from 13 countries across Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States, creating a truly global learning community.

Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports of Greece, the Ministry of Tourism of Greece, the Δήμος Αρχαίας Ολυμπίας - Municipality of Ancient Olympiaa, and the Περιφέρεια Δυτικής Ελλάδας / Region of Western Greece, this initiative demonstrated that public institutions, academia and the private sector can work together with a common purpose.

Our sincere appreciation goes to our supporters and sponsors - AECOM, Fundația Nawaf Salameh, Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos", IDEAL Holdings, STEELMET Corporate Services, Sunelgroup, Zephyros Partners, George Haloulis & Co (GH energy & constructions), who believe that investing in teachers (and indirectly in children education) can make better societies.

Throughout the week, participants explored some of the most interesting topics shaping the future of education, including:
• Independent Living for Persons with Disabilities
• Relational Inclusivity through Social Network Analysis (SNA)
• Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
• Differentiated Pedagogy
• Artificial Intelligence for Inclusive Teaching
• Human + AI approaches for creating safe and inclusive learning environments.

Beyond knowledge and practical tools, the Summer School created something even more valuable: a community of professionals who shared experiences, cultures, challenges and solutions, through collaboration.

One participant expressed the impact better than any report could: "I am going to be a better teacher and a better person." For us, this is the true measure of success.

As education systems around the world continue to evolve, teachers need more than training - they need international collaboration, access to innovation, practical AI tools, evidence-based methodologies, and strong institutional support.

This Summer School does not end here. The dialogue, professional networking and exchange of practices will continue through an international community of practice, ensuring that the knowledge gained in Ancient Olympia continues to benefit classrooms around the world.

Together, we are promoting education where every learner belongs.

At the first day of our 2nd International Summer School on Inclusive Education, Inclusive Technology and Best Practices, Kamil Goungor, from the European Network on Independent Living - ENIL, presented a Keynote - The Importance of Technology in Education and Independent Living for Disabled People.

In his thought-provoking presentation, Kamil encouraged participants to look beyond technology itself and focus on the values it should serve. While artificial intelligence and assistive technologies hold enormous potential, they also raise important questions about accessibility, affordability, digital exclusion, algorithmic bias, and data ethics.

His message was clear: technology should never reinforce barriers or segregation - it should help remove them, and it can definitely do that if used properly.

One of the most powerful messages of his presentation was that every disabled child and young person deserves the support they need - including technological support - within mainstream education. Education systems must adapt to learners, based on individual needs and characteristics, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to learn in their own way, participate, and thrive.

Kamil concluded with a message that resonated deeply with all participants:
"Inclusive education is a basic pillar of independent living, and if we want to achieve it, we must start with inclusive education, which benefits everyone-not only disabled people."

A truly strong start to a week dedicated to inclusion, innovation, and the shared commitment to creating educational systems where everyone belongs.

Within the framework of the 2nd International Summer School in Ancient Olympia (Greece), a unique lecture and workshop took place - "Human + AI: Creating Safe and Inclusive Speaking Classrooms." This event was a brilliant outcome of collaboration, where Star for Life Ukraine presented its successful hands-on experience on the Savvy Business LTD platform.

The keynote speaker, Star for Life representative Antonina Paletska, shared insights with educators, researchers, and professionals representing 13 countries.

Inside the Workshop:
Antonina offered a different perspective on technology: viewing AI not merely as a tool for text generation or grammar correction, but as a fully-fledged speaking partner. This approach helps learners overcome language barriers, build confidence, and maximize speaking time.

The session was highly practical, allowing participants to experience every activity firsthand:
• Testing various AI roles (from a coach to a debate partner);
• Addressing real-world classroom challenges and mastering prompt-design techniques;
• Learning how to build dialogues that encourage students to think critically and interact naturally.

Antonina emphasized the flexibility and accessibility of this approach, as all shared strategies can be easily implemented using the free version of ChatGPT. This makes the methodology an effective resource for inclusive education, providing personalized support for shy or anxious students.

The main takeaway! AI should never replace human communication; instead, it should create more opportunities for it. The educator remains the core architect of learning, while AI acts as a partner extending practice far beyond the classroom.

The teams at Savvy Business LTD and Star for Life Ukraine are grateful to all participants for the productive discussions. We look forward to seeing these educational approaches implemented around the world!

✨ Building Inclusive Classrooms Through the Power of Relationships ✨

One of the 2nd day’s inspiring sessions at our International Summer School at the International Olympic Academy was led by Kyriaki Sandy Deligiorgi, who invited participants to rethink the role of the teacher as a "relational architect."

Through her presentation, she demonstrated how the Socionomy–SNA Toolkit can support relational inclusivity in the classroom. Drawing on data from three surveys conducted throughout the school year, she showcased targeted interventions designed to strengthen peer relationships and illustrated their impact through sociograms.

Kyriaki also shared practical, real-life examples of strategies that can be easily integrated across the curriculum to foster stronger connections, nurture a sense of belonging, and create inclusive learning environments for all learners.

As we continue our journey at the International Olympic Academy, sessions like these remind us that inclusion is not only about being present in the classroom—it is about building relationships where every student feels seen, valued, and connected. 🌍📚🏛️🤝
