TechnoNICOL Corporation - 55th plant
TechnoNICOL Corporation (in Khabarovsk) has launched its 55th plant, which will carry out the recycling of polymers.
It is planned to bring the plant to full capacity by 2024, and the new line will be able to process up to 10 thousand tons of secondary polymers annually.
“Now a lot of attention is paid to reducing the impact on the environment: reducing the consumption of raw materials and greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, ecology should be in the first place for all industries, - comments Sergey Kolesnikov - Everywhere environmental requirements are tightened, especially with regard to reducing waste. Most of the used plastic products are not recycled and are thrown into the environment or incinerated, so the average recycling rate in the country does not exceed 10%.
The modern line at the plant in Khabarovsk will make it possible to recycle polymer products, including used polystyrene and styrofoam packaging: various disposable containers for fruits, vegetables, eggs, frozen and chilled products, as well as to recycle thermal insulation materials and other secondary polymers. The resulting recycled polymer granule will be used for the production of heavy extruded polystyrene (XPS) boards used in road construction
