Esopo, Fables and legends:

The Astronomer

An astronomer liked to take night strollings to see the stars. Once, he was distracted and felt in a pit. Trying to get out of the pit his help screams called a man that passed by. When the astronomer told what happened the mans laughed and said:
-My dear friend you made so much effort to see the sky that you forgot to see here below your own feet.

Hidden Message 1: It is easy to forget to see the obvious.

Hidden message 2: please help the poor before reaching Basis in the Moon atmosphere. Don’t exterminate poverty but mitigate poverty and end extreme permanent poverty. The poor will help you reach other Galaxies then.

As Rãs em busca de um rei.

AS RÃS EM BUSCA DE UM REI.

As rãs andavam muito amoladas porque viviam sem lei, por isso pediram a Zeus que arranjasse um rei para elas. Zeus percebeu a ingenuidade das rãs e jogou um toco de árvore no lago. No começo as rãs ficaram apavoradas com o barulho da água quando caiu o toco e mergulharam vem para o fundo. Umnpouco depois vendo que o toco não se mexia, subiram para a superfície e escalaram o toco. Aquele rei não prestava, pensaram, e lá se foram pedir outro rei a Zeus. Mas Zeus já tinha perdido a paciência e lhes mandou uma cegonha, que num instante devorou todas as suas súditas.

Moral: Saiba quando se dar por satisfeito.

The frogs in search of a king

The frogs were running around too bothered because they lived with no Law, so they asked Zeus for a King for them. Zeus noticed the naïve tracts that had the frogs and threw a tree trunk in the lake. At the beginning the frogs went crazy and fearful with the noise in the water when the trunk felt and so they dived to the bottom. A little later seeing that the trunk didn’t move, they emerged to the surface and climbed the trunk. That king was worthless, they thought, so they went to Zeus again to ask for another king. But Zeus had lost his patience and sent them a stork, who in a moment devoured all her subjects.

Moral: Know when to get satisfied.
