🌱 It All Starts with Soil.

I can remember waking up with big groggy eyes to get ready for school still thinking about the videos I stayed up all night watching these people leave their city lives behind for something simpler. Their tiny homes and homesteads weren’t near perfect, efficient, sustainable but it was there’s and it connected them to what mattered, soil and family. There is peace in not only knowing but understanding that there were others before us who came from this soil, walked on it, worked with it and returned to it just like we will.

Today is World Soil Day, a reminder that healthy soil is the foundation of life itself. From the food on your table to the air you breathe, it all depends on the ground beneath your feet.

🛠️ But here’s the challenge: Over 33% of our soil globally is degraded, threatening our ability to grow food, combat climate change, and sustain biodiversity.

💡 Here’s how you can make a difference:

Compost your food scraps and turn waste into rich soil.
Support farmers and businesses committed to regenerative practices.
Teach others about the importance of soil health—our future depends on it.

🎄 Save Ya Soil Wit Ya Christmas Tree! 🌱
This holiday season, let’s turn waste into a resource. Here’s the truth about discarded Christmas trees:

➡️ They don’t belong in our natural ecology.
➡️ They take ages to break down and pose a fire hazard.
➡️ Worst of all, they end up in landfills instead of enriching our soil.

But we can change that! Together, we can:
✅ Save space on our vulnerable island.
✅ Create compost to grow food and build healthy soil.
✅ Lead by example and show the world how to care for our resources.

💡 What Will You Do?
We’re calling on YOU to start helping our soil today. Save your tree, make compost, grow something amazing, and set the standard for sustainability. 🌍

💬 Share your thoughts in the comments below and let’s inspire each other to take action!

📲 Don’t forget to DM us to learn how we can compost your tree this January. Together, we can make a difference.

People ask us what we do and we tell them we’re permaculture designers.
Then they ask, “What does that even mean?”

It’s hard to understand what we do without understanding what permaculture is.

Permaculture is a set of design principles.

It is our job to meticulously craft sustainably abundant landscapes and systems using these principles.

We’re happy to have a conversation about it so DM us!

Shout out to .lex242 for coining such a ubiquitous saying.

It is important to recognize that we are not some individual species that exists separately from the world around us.

Many people live in environments where there is little biodiversity and they kill every plant and animal they don’t immediately recognize.

Start exploring your surroundings, start learning the birds bugs and plants around you. It is important to observe and recognize. Nature gives feedback. When you look and listen you will see and experience things you didn’t know you were searching for. You will find love and meaning in the most “insignificant” things. Let nature speak to you.
