The tragic incident in Denchhukha, Samtse, where three lives were lost after a temporary ropeway snapped while crossing the Amochhu River, has raised difficult but necessary questions about the state of infrastructure in vulnerable communities.

Tonight, we speak with Ugyen Lama, Member of Parliament for Dophuchen–Tading Constituency, to discuss not only the circumstances surrounding the incident, but also the broader challenges of rural connectivity, climate-resilient infrastructure, disaster preparedness, and what must be done to prevent such tragedies in the future.

Join us for an important conversation on accountability, resilience, and the future of Bhutan's infrastructure.
