With a vision of "Nurturing creativity, innovation, and promoting entrepreneurship in harmony with GNH philosophy," CST-Tech Incubation Centre provides co-working space and business development services to its Incubatees, while striving to instill and promote an entrepreneurial mindset and a vibrant entrepreneurial culture in the college and communities. The Centre is funded and supported by Entrepreneurship Promotion Division(EPD), Department of Employment and
Entrepreneurship(DoEE), Ministry of Labor and Human Resources (MoLHR) through Start-up/CSI

Digital Skills to Market-user experience-ready Solutions!
The Youth Tech-Novation Hackathon 2026, which saw intense and inspiring competition among students from CST, GCIT, and JNEC ended successfully and we are happy to see our students bring their ideas to life as functional prototypes and MVPs!

The event arose as a result of months of intensive digital skills training and entrepreneurial development. These are some of our young innovators presenting their solutions-this is an entrepreneurial mindset we are fostering and developing among our students that we are proud of.
Special thanks to the Department of Education Programmes, MOESD, UNICEF Bhutan and the College Of Science And Technology. management for constant support. Thanks also to the Science and Humanities Department-CST for coordinating the training along computing technology department.

| TechBiz Innovation Bootcamp 2026 | 15-17 May |
Tech and Business Working Together!
This past weekend was a big success! For the first time, the incubation centres of College Of Science And Technology. and Gedu College of Business Studies teamed up for a 3-day workshop.

We had 39 students join us-21 from CST 18 from GCBS Instead of working separately, they were mixed into 9 teams. This allowed "tech" students and "business" students to share their skills and help each other grow.

The teams started with 28 different ideas. Participants were taken through sessions on AI and Machine Learning, Elevator Pitch, Design Thinking, and Lean Business Models and Pitching Guidelines led by faculties from both colleges and practicing entrepreneur. After intensive mentoring and a "cross-pollination" of skills between business and technical students, 9 ideas were selected to move forward.

Inspiration: Talk by Mr. Ugyen NoMind and Mr. Sailesh Yoering-Ma. They both started their own businesses while they were still students, and seeing their success over the years gave everyone a lot of motivation.

To all the participants; coming up with new ideas is a win by itself! You spent your weekend working hard while others were just resting, and that is something to be proud of.
This event wouldn't have been possible without funding from the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship and UNDP Bhutan.

We also want to thank the management of both colleges. A special thank you goes to Mr. Sangay and Mr. Shankar from Science and Humanities Department-CST for leading the student group and making sure everything ran smoothly.

Empowering students with essential life skills beyond the classroom 💡

Mr. Shankar Das Sharma, Faculty of Science and Humanities Department conducted an engaging and insightful session on Financial Literacy for Level 2 and 3 Tech-Novation program participants. The session was offered also for third-year and final-year students. The session focused on building practical knowledge in managing personal finances, understanding savings and investments, and making informed financial decisions for the future.

This initiative is part of the ongoing Youth TechNovation Program, aimed at equipping students with both technical and life skills to thrive in today’s dynamic world.

A step forward towards creating financially aware and responsible future leaders! 🚀

Youth Technovation Level 3 Program Launched!

We are excited to announce the commencement of Youth Technovation Level 3: Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship at College of Science and Technology.

Funded by UNICEF Bhutan and coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD), this advanced-level program aims to equip youth with cutting-edge digital and entrepreneurial skills for the future.

The program officially kicked off with Linux and Network Administration, led by Mr. Jiwan Gurung, Lecturer.

Youth Technovation Level 2 Kicks Off at CST!

We are thrilled to share that the Youth Technovation Program – Level 2, coordinated by the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) and funded by UNICEF, has officially commenced today, 6th April, at the College of Science and Technology (CST).

This dynamic program equips youth with in-demand skills in:

🎉 Druk Tshongrig Gatoen 2025 Celebration at CST! 🚀

We celebrated Druk Tshongrig Gatoen 2025 on 18th October with an inspiring 1-day SparkPitch event, where students pitched their business ideas ready to be implemented within the college! 💡

The day kicked off with an entrepreneurial talk by the Head of CST Incubation Center, followed by an insightful session on Business Strategy by Mr. Zepa, a hands-on Lean Canvas discussion, and an engaging Design Thinking workshop.

In the afternoon, participants explored Business Opportunity Spotting & Ideation, leading up to the highlight of the day — the SparkPitch! 🌟
Eight dynamic student groups, guided by dedicated faculty mentors, pitched their innovative ideas to the judging panel.

🏆 Four winning teams were awarded a Nu. 15,000 pre-implementation fund each by the CST Tech Incubation Center to bring their ideas to life!

A heartfelt thank you to the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship for their invaluable support, the Department of Science and Humanities and its members for mentoring, and all resource persons who made this event a success. 🙏

The CST Tech Incubation Center successfully organized an Elevator Pitch Competition under the theme “Innovating for a Greener Tomorrow.” The event aimed to nurture innovative ideas that contribute towards sustainability and a cleaner, greener future.

The competition was attended by Mr. Sangay Phuntsho, Center head and Mr shankar Das Sharma. To enrich the participants’ learning, the session was resourced by Mr. Shankar Das Sharma, Assistant Lecturer (SHD), who shared invaluable insights on the art of pitching and the essential elements of an effective pitch.

The event not only provided a platform for aspiring innovators to showcase their ideas but also equipped them with practical skills to communicate their vision with clarity and impact.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, mentors, and resource persons for making this initiative a success. Together, we move closer to shaping a future that is both innovative and sustainable. 🌍✨

CST Incubation Center marked World Entrepreneurs’ Day with an inspiring celebration! 🌍✨ The program began with an opening note by Mr. Sangay Phuntsho, Center Head, CST Incubation Center, highlighting entrepreneurship, innovation, disruptive thinking, and the right entrepreneurial mindset. 🚀 This was followed by an engaging two-hour Design Thinking session led by Mr. Shankar Das Sharma, Lecturer SHD empowering participants to think differently, ideate fearlessly, and innovate with impact. 💡

Special thanks to Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment, Royal Government of Bhutan for the continued support in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. 🙌
