Youth Entrepreneurship Training

The Youth Entrepreneurship Training for the Kanglung Community was successfully held from January 26 to 31, 2025, at Sherubtse College, organized by the Sherubtse Business Incubation Centre. The program aimed to equip 38 participants with essential entrepreneurial skills, knowledge, and a growth mindset.

The training covered five key modules:
1.Unlocking Competencies
2.Matching Person with the Project
3.Business Model Generation
4.Business Plan Preparation
5.Business Idea Pitching

Participants formed five teams to develop business ideas, with the Personal T-Shirt Printing Business winning the final pitching competition for its feasibility and innovation.

The training emphasized crucial aspects of entrepreneurship, including innovation, risk-taking, market research, ethics, and networking. Entrepreneurs must think creatively, take calculated risks, and understand their target customers to succeed. This enriching experience provided participants with the confidence and practical skills needed to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

Basic Entrepreneurship Course

The 15-day Entrepreneurship Training for Aggregators, organized by the Dzongkhag Administration in collaboration with the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE), MoICE and the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives (DAMC) concluded today.

The training is intended to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment as viable career options while contributing to income generation by equipping participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to initiate and manage their own businesses. It also aimed to develop domestic marketing by encouraging aggregators to actively participate in the promotion and marketing of products and produces from PemaGatshel Dzongkhag.

A total of 20 participants that include 6 aggregators from six gewogs and 14 youth from the Dzongkhag successfully completed the program.

We wish them the very best as they embark on this very exciting journey of entrepreneurship.

*Sherubtse Business Incubation Centre Celebrates Druk Tshongrig Gatoen*

The Sherubtse Business Incubation Centre celebrated Druk Tshongrig Gatoen on October 30, 2024, by organizing an engaging business idea pitching competition, bringing together ten teams of aspiring entrepreneurs. The event showcased a variety of innovative ideas, from sustainable solutions to tech-driven initiatives.

Thimphu Housing Service took the top spot with their forward-thinking approach to home maintenance in urban areas, while Bio Degradable Pads came in second for their impactful idea to produce eco-friendly menstrual hygiene products.

The event not only highlighted the creativity and business acumen of the students but also underscored the importance of entrepreneurship in driving Bhutan’s future economic growth.

The Druk Tshongrig Gatoen celebration at Sherubtse College, organized by the Sherubtse Business Incubation Centre, will feature a Business Idea Pitching Competition. It aims to inspire students to develop innovative solutions, foster entrepreneurial skills, and promote teamwork, contributing to a culture of innovation and business development within the college community.

Registration for the event will close on Friday, 25th October 2024, and all participating teams must pitch their business ideas on 29th October 2024.
