Jabchor 2.0 Season 2 Bootcamp Concludes Successfully, Nine Entrepreneurs Selected for Final Pitch Day on 26 December 2026
Thimphu, Bhutan | 11 October 2026
The Jabchor 2.0 Season 2 Bootcamp β Nature Positive Edition, held from 5β7 October 2026 at the Startup Centre, Chnagzamtog, Thimphu, concluded successfully, with nine promising entrepreneurs selected from a total of 16 participants to advance to the Final Pitch Day scheduled for 26 December 2026.
Organized by the Department of Employment and Entrepreneurship (DoEE), Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment (MoICE), in partnership with UNDP, The Tiger Landscapes Investment Facility (TLIF), and BDBL with support from the Advisory Committee and technical partners, the three-day Bootcamp aimed to strengthen Bhutan's entrepreneurial ecosystem by preparing promising businesses for investment opportunities.
Held under the theme "From Startup to Investment-Ready Venture," the Bootcamp brought together entrepreneurs from diverse sectors, including technology, agriculture, tourism, renewable energy, environmental solutions and other emerging industries.
The programme began on 5 October 2026, with sessions covering regulatory compliance, business incorporation, valuation, financing opportunities and investment pitching. On 6 October 2026, participants engaged in business verification, one-on-one consultations and pitch preparation to further strengthen their investment readiness.
On 7 October 2026, all 16 entrepreneurs presented their business ventures before a judging panel comprising selected Advisory Committee members. Following the presentations, evaluation and deliberation process, nine entrepreneurs were selected to advance to the next stage.
The selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to pitch directly to potential investors on 26 December 2026, explore investment and financing opportunities, and establish valuable business connections.
This season places particular emphasis on nature-positive entrepreneurship and blended financing, recognizing that businesses at different stages require different forms of financial support, including equity, debt and other suitable financing arrangements.
While nine entrepreneurs have progressed to the final stage, the Bootcamp recognizes the dedication, potential and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by all 16 participants.
The seven entrepreneurs who were not selected are encouraged to continue developing their ventures, building on the knowledge, feedback and connections gained throughout the Bootcamp. They may also explore future investment opportunities, mentorship and business development support through Innovest and other entrepreneurial ecosystem partners.
Jabchor 2.0 remains committed to connecting Bhutanese entrepreneurs with investors, strengthening investment readiness and supporting the development of innovative, sustainable and commercially viable businesses.
With the successful completion of the Bootcamp, preparations now move toward the Jabchor 2.0 Season 2 Final Pitch Day on 26 December 2026, where the nine selected entrepreneurs will take the next step in their investment journey.
Congratulations to all 16 participating entrepreneurs, and best wishes to the nine finalists as they prepare to present their ventures to potential investors.
