Today, on Zhabdrung Kuchoe, we solemnly honor the passing of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal (1594–1651)—the visionary who unified Bhutan.

As we light butter lamps and offer our heartfelt prayers, let us reflect on his timeless teachings and renew our commitment to the values he embodied: unity, devotion, and service to the nation.

May his legacy continue to guide us all.
