Gerab Nyed-Yon Limited (GNY) was established as an autonomous entity to hold and manage the assets and investments of the Zhung Dratshang. The company was operationalized as a separate legal entity with commercial objectives from 1st October 2023. The company is governed by the Board of Directors appointed by the Duenmang Lhentshog of the Central Monk Body (CMB) of Bhutan. GNY engages in commercial and investment activities such as securities trading and fundraising for investments across various asset classes. Profit generated from these business operations is channelled back to the Zhung Dratshang in the form of dividends. The Zhung Dratshang utilizes these funds for the conduct of Duechoe, Kuchoe Boomdey, Tenchey Kurim, and essential ceremonies that contribute to the security, peace, and unity of the Tsa-wa-sum. With a strategic and forward-thinking approach, GNY is dedicated to safeguarding and enhancing the value of Zhung Dratshang's assets while ensuring their proper utilization. This commitment underscores its dedication to preserving and advancing religious initiatives for the future. Operated from its Corporate Office at Level 5, Namgyel Khangzang Building, Simtokha Lap in Thimphu.

The GNY family gathered to observe the auspicious birth anniversary of His Holiness the Je Khenpo today.

The observance began with the lighting of butter lamps, symbolizing the light of wisdom dispelling darkness, followed by prayers and the Zhabten offering for His Holinessโ€™s long life, good health, and well-being.
