Tuesday Truth: The Exhausting Side of Self-Awareness

Everywhere we turn, there's a call to be better—optimize your habits, master this strategy, improve your relationships, be more productive. And while growth is valuable, let’s be honest: self-awareness is hard. It’s uncomfortable. It’s exhausting.

Knowing yourself means facing the patterns that hold you back, questioning old beliefs, and navigating the tension between who you are and who you want to become. It means managing not just yourself but, for many, leading teams of people also on their own self-awareness journeys. And that? That can be draining.

So today, instead of pushing for the next best version of yourself, choose life.

Monday Check-In: Are You Working Intentionally?
It’s a new week! But before we get caught up in the rush, let’s take a moment to pause. Are you being intentional about how you spend your time and energy?

💡 Self-awareness isn’t just about knowing yourself—it’s about noticing how your mindset, habits, and emotions shape your productivity.

Too often, we measure productivity by how much we get done. But true sustainable productivity is about doing what matters without draining yourself. It’s about working smarter, staying engaged, and maintaining energy throughout the week.

Here are 3 simple ways to reset and approach your week with intention:

✅ Energy Tracker
Instead of just tracking tasks, track your energy. At the end of each day, ask yourself:
🔹 What gave me energy today?
🔹 What drained me?
🔹 What’s one small adjustment I can make tomorrow?

✅ The “One Thing” Rule
Feeling overwhelmed? Instead of trying to do everything, focus on this:
👉 What’s the ONE thing I can do today that will make everything else easier or less urgent?
Prioritize it. Protect it. Get it done.

✅ 5-Minute Intentional Reset
Before jumping into tasks, take a few minutes to reflect:
🔹 What do I want to accomplish today?
🔹 How do I want to show up for myself and others?
🔹 What distractions do I need to manage?

🎊HAPPY NEW YEAR!🎊

We celebrate different holidays as the days on the calendar unfold. However, it seems January 1st, tends to rouse within most of us reflection. We look back on the past year's achievements and failures.

Our achievements give us silent joy, happiness and a sense of purpose. Swallowing the bitter pill of failure, we look forward to promise of the future.

However, for some of us, failure taints our vision. We can't help but dread the new year. So much so we miss new opportunities at joy, happiness and purpose.
*Some of us set new goals, at times unrealistic and taxing.
*For some of us it's only momentary excitment and we fall back on negative habits and thought patterns.
