Badikompone at the Creators Assembly

At this year’s inaugural Creators Assembly, Badikompone took on an important role in the conversation around turning Botswana’s creative talent into sustainable businesses. Under the theme “Creativity, The New Currency,” our message was simple: talent may be the currency, but a registered business is the account that allows that currency to be invested, exchanged and grown.

We challenged creatives to look beyond their craft and understand the importance of company registration, compliance and building enterprises around their talents. The conversation highlighted how opportunities such as government tenders, CEDA facilities and major brand partnerships increasingly require creatives to be formally registered and compliant.
Our role was therefore to bridge the gap between “I am talented” and “I am fundable.” We shared practical insight into why creatives should formalise their businesses before the opportunity comes, rather than after. Ultimately, Badikompone is committed to building the business structures that allow Botswana’s creative economy to thrive, while creatives focus on doing what they do best.
