How turn on the Follow Button on Your Profile

#1 Turn On Public Followers
1. Open the Facebook app
2. Go to Menu (the three lines)
3. Scroll down to Settings & Privacy
4. Tap Settings
5. Scroll to Audience and Visibility
6. Tap Followers and Public Content
7. Change Who Can Follow Me to Public

Once this is ON, Facebook shows a Follow button to people who aren’t your friends.

#2 Make “Follow” the Default Instead of “Add Friend”
1. Go back to Settings
2. Tap Privacy Checkup or Privacy Settings
3. Set Who can send you friend requests? Such as Friends of Friends
• This forces most people to see Follow instead of “Add Friend.”

#3 Switch to a Professional/creator Profile

This step makes your profile look more official and boosts engagement.
1. Go to your profile
2. Tap the three dots next to “Edit Profile”
3. Select Turn on Professional Mode
4. Confirm

Once you turn on Professional Mode, the blue Follow button becomes more visible and cleanly displayed.
