27-YEAR-OLD MOTSWANA WOMAN DROWNS IN SWIMMING POOL IN ZIMBABWE
A 27-year-old Motswana woman, Atang Boesi Molale of Borotsi ward in Tonota, has tragically died after drowning in a swimming pool in Zimbabwe.
According to sources close to the incident, Atang was in Zimbabwe where she was attending school.
On the day of the incident, she reportedly went out with a group of friends for leisure.
It is alleged that while they were together, Atang briefly left her friends.
Those she was with initially believed she had gone to the restroom.
However, when she failed to return after some time, concern grew and her friends began searching for her.
The search ended in heartbreak when Atang was discovered unresponsive in a swimming pool.
It is believed she had drowned.
The exact circumstances surrounding how she ended up in the pool remain unclear, and authorities in Zimbabwe are expected to investigate the matter further.
Arrangements are currently being made to repatriate her body to Botswana for burial.
Her death has left her family and friends in mourning.
