CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
Location: Gaborone, Botswana
About the Group
We are a diversified group of companies operating in vehicle sales, property investments/rentals, and distribution.
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial management and strategic growth of the group.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all financial operations across the group companies.
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
* Ensure compliance with Botswana tax, VAT, and statutory requirements.
* Manage debtors, creditors, payroll, and treasury functions.
* Lead annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
* Develop financial controls, policies, and reporting systems.
* Provide strategic financial advice to directors and shareholders.
* Evaluate investment opportunities and business expansion projects.
* Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements.
* Supervise and develop finance team members.
Minimum Requirements
* ACCA, CIMA, CA, BCom Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior finance or financial management role.
* Strong knowledge of Botswana taxation, VAT, and financial regulations.
* Experience preparing management accounts and financial statements.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
* High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Advantageous
* Experience across multiple businesses or group structures.
* Experience in distribution, vehicle sales, rentals, property, or FMCG sectors.
* Experience implementing financial controls and business processes.
