A client in the mining industry is looking for a seasoned HR Practitioner to join their team in Jwaneng.
Main purpose of the job
Reporting to the Director, Finance and Human Resources, the incumbent will provide end-to-end human resource management support and execute human resource procedures, standards, programs and as well as offer professional advice to enhance operational efficiency.
Core accountabilities and responsibilities
Handles all recruitment and selection processes such as job advertising, interviews, induction of new employees, etc. in line with specific policies and guidelines and prepares contracts of employment according to laid down procedures.
Processes all employee remuneration, promotions, demotions, transfers and staff welfare as well as provides advice pertaining to them.
Administers all employee benefits in area of operation.
Maintains human resource information systems to ensure the availability of accurate and up to date employee information for decision-making.
Facilitates the planning and implementation of the Human Resources initiatives to ensure adherence to schedules.
Provides advice and secretarial services on grievances and disciplinary hearings to ensure procedural and substantive fairness in applying the Company policies and procedures
Facilitates the planning of workshops, to ensure the dissemination of information on Human Resources Management issues.
Advises employees on the interpretation and application of relevant policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Provides all HR related information in required formats in accordance with internal and external customer requests
Monitors adherence to all safety measures and processes put in place for safe operations in the area of operation
Develops, designs, and coordinates the implementation of the wellness programs in line with the Company policy
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management/ Business Administration from a recognised University or any other related qualification
Minimum five years post qualification HR experience in a mining / construction environment
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Experience with Pastel HR system. Any other system e.g. Oracle, SAP, Premier etc will be an added advantage.
