‘Belonging is not something you earn but something you receive and when you know you belong you stop begging for a seat at some else table. Start building tables with people you feel you belong. Stop trying to earn your worth, when you know you are already accepted stop exhausting yourself trying to prove you deserve a seat. Jesus teaches us we don’t need to perform for his love, as he loved us when still in sin he taught us to just receive it.’
When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:6-8 NLT
