On the 16th of June 2026 ,at about 10:10 am, our Ramotswa control room recieved an alarm signal from a residence in Disana ward. A reaction crew was immediately despatched and upon arrival , it was discovered that the customer was not in. They proceeded to inspect the premises and discovered that the bathroom window was open and that they were some bank cards and water bottles out side. Foot prints were noticed at the scene and tracking commenced immediately. The foot prints led them to a yard in Taung.The suspects were not arrested on that day as they were in hiding , however our team managed to apprehend them successfully the following day. The team recovered the stolen goods together with other stolen items that were stolen from various individuals from Ramotswa. The suspects were handed to Ramotswa police station with the recovered stolen items for further investigations.

Good day,

Last Thursday, we were travelling back to Maun after spending a wonderful few days in Chobe National Park. Along the way, we came across a pride of lions feeding on a giraffe. They had almost completely blocked the road, leaving just enough space for vehicles to pass safely.

We switched off our bakkie and spent about an hour at the sighting, taking in the incredible experience and, of course, taking plenty of photographs.

The reason I am sending this email is that one of your branded vehicles arrived at the sighting while we were there. The occupants clearly appreciated the experience as much as we did. They took photographs and manoeuvred the vehicle quietly and slowly around the pride, taking great care not to disturb the lions.

We really appreciated the respect they showed towards the animals and the other visitors. Their considerate behaviour allowed everyone to continue enjoying the sighting without disruption, which is something that deserves recognition.

We thought you and the team in the vehicle might enjoy seeing one of the photographs we took as your vehicle passed the lions.

Thank you for helping to set such a positive example of responsible wildlife viewing.

On the 3rd of June 2026 our main control room received a panic signal from power sub station , block 10 at around 0300am. A response team was immediately dispatched and upon arrival , our crew met our officers that said power had tripped when technicians tried to switch on the breakers . Our officers then followed the cable line from block 10 to Sebele and were able to identify the copper cable that was neutralized by fire. It was believed that the suspects burnt the live cable to stop power from passing over. Tracking then started and it led the team all the way to G-north where they found a new power site installation. It was discovered that the whole installation was vandalized and that all copper wires were stolen. 4 suspects were later apprehended together with the stolen items and were handed over to G-north police for further investigations.

On the 3rd of June 2026 our main control room received a phone call from a customer at about 06:21am. The client was calling from Mmamashia along the A1 road. When our reaction crew arrived at location, they met our officers who said intruders cut the razor wire to gain entry on the left side of the premises where they proceeded to a truck parked inside to open the fuel tank and stole diesel. They managed to get away with 25 liters. Tracking started immediately and we managed to recover the stolen items and arrest 3 suspects that were handed over to Gaborone North police .
