The serving from the altar today was sufficient to call all believers to a tick of introspection and ponder. Through Matthew 7:21-23, the church was brought to remembrance of the criteria and standard that every believer ought to meet in order to secure Heaven.
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
“It is quite common for many today to believe that by being in God’s house, occupying the front seat or even ushering, they have secured Heaven, they are saved and as such they have made it. However, this is not true at all because your presence in the church does not guarantee Heaven and neither does it imply that you are saved. The true meaning of this is that your battle and journey to salvation has just begun. You are not far from an athlete who has just qualified for a cross country marathon, he cannot relax or celebrate for he understands that his regional winnings do not assure him of a win in the bigger contest.
Good people, the scripture does point out to those that heal the sick, drive out demons and even prophesy in the name of the Lord but this does not mean you are out of the picture. Does the bible not say, “the student cannot be greater than his teacher and neither can the slave be greater than his master?” [Matthew 10:24] So, if such a measure is used on the teacher, then woe to you the student for worse is upon you. This then means that you should start to take your Christianity more seriously! Take note that, Christianity is not a religion, and neither is it a hobby; it is a lifestyle of trusting God.
Continuing, the Prophet took the church back to the question that Jesus asked Simon Peter in that book of John 21:16, “Peter do you love me more than these?” From the scripture it is evident that Peter had expressed some form of love for Jesus but according to God’s standard, it was not sufficient. Is your love for God enough? Well, your dance, offering, worship and coming to the church amounts to a certain degree of love but the question still stands, do you love Jesus more than these?
There is no greater way to prove your love for God and to express your worship except to do His will by executing His word. You may pray, fast, give to those in need or even give the greatest offering in the church but if you do not execute God’s will, I mean, if you are a doer of evil then you are bound to miss Heaven. This is because God’s word shuns evil and promotes righteousness and Holiness. Moreover, the scripture states that it is ONLY those who do the will of the Father who will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Now, a quick question, have you been doing the will of God?”
In furthering his message, the Prophet added, “Today in the church, we find a shadow of Adam, Eve and
the snake as many are quite keen on playing the blame game. Whenever their prayers are not answered, they throw the blame to the man of God and as such they have moved from pillar to pole and from one church to the next in search of a greater anointing. However, you need to cancel this misconception; forget your church leader and focus on your relationship with God. Take note that if you have a connection with God by virtue of doing His will, then surely the degree of the anointing in the life of the man of God before you, cannot affect your blessing.”
What do you intend to do with your life in 2019? Are you going to continue running helter skelter, giving excuses for not praying or fasting and paying no attention to your relationship with God? For how long will you be a child not in age but in action? For how long will your spiritual life fluctuate? Well, time is not on your side; it waits for no one! The Lord is patient and very merciful but truth be told, in Heaven, sinners and evil doers are not tolerated.
Do you frequent the church, were you born on the altar or Fathered by a Bishop? This does not matter because with God, the criteria of judgment is executing His will. When you do the will of God, you automatically benefit from the anointing. According to John 1:9, all who receive the Word, are given the right to become children of God, children born not of natural decent but born of God. This clearly reveals the power of God’s will; it transfers one from natural decent to become a citizen of Heaven; a child of God. Such power allows you to call Him Abba Father, naturally and Him to call you “my child”- by virtue of His will.
When landing the Prophet left the church with the following encouragement; “In 2019, you ought to work on your spiritual life because your material life can never be greater than your spiritual life. If your material happens to outgrow your spiritual life then you are surely on your way to a downfall. Be sure to do away with all evil and execute the will of God.”
