💼 Stronger support for SMMEs means stronger economies.

We commend Local Enterprise Authority, for developing an infrastructure fund aimed at strengthening Botswana's informal and SMME sectors. By tackling barriers such as limited market access, the initiative seeks to create a more enabling environment for entrepreneurs to grow, attract investment, and thrive.

Addressing challenges facing SMMEs and the informal sector, Jensen identified limited market access as a major constraint. He told the minister that inadequate market opportunities often discourage potential funders from investing in enterprises.

With an annual investment of approximately P100 million in infrastructure and equipment, and over P2 million dedicated to employee upskilling, Bolux continues to demonstrate its commitment to innovation, growth, and Botswana's manufacturing sector.

Wishing the team continued success as they expand their impact locally and across the region.

According to Bolux Managing Director, Melinda Jacobs, the company keeps investing to stay relevant in the market and spends approximately P100 million annual in infrastructure and equipment, to make sure the company is not left behind.

In addition, the company spends over P2 million annually in upskilling.

Jacobs said this year’s investment reflects long-term confidence in the local market and an ambition to continue growing both locally and across the region.
