This past weekend, The Unconventional Circle (TUC) proudly celebrated the graduation of Cohort 3 of our Mentorship Program: another step forward in our mission to shape unconventional leaders across Africa and beyond. 🌍

This achievement was made possible through the collective effort of many:

🙏 God Almighty for the vision that birthed this movement.

🎓 Cohort 3 Mentees: well done on completing a transformative 12-week journey.

👨‍🏫 Prof. Nelson Torto, a distinguished academic, coach, and former Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education, for his mentorship and contribution to the program.

🎤 Coach Mompoloki Makwana: for an inspiring guest session, sharing a decade of experience as a global speaker, coach, and business strategist.

Know Your Mentor, Professor Nelson Torto, Founding Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Higher Education, Botswana

We are excited to welcome Professor Nelson Torto as a mentor for The Unconventional Circle (TUC).

Prof. Torto is a visionary and seasoned global leader whose career spans academia, government, and scientific innovation.

🔹 Founding Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education
🔹 Former Executive Director of the African Academy of Sciences
🔹 Former CEO of Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI)
🔹 Fellow of multiple esteemed academies including the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences

He is also a qualified Time To Think Coach and an Accredited Ontological Coach currently pursuing his PhD in Psychology.

We are honoured to have Prof. Torto share his knowledge, experience, and wisdom with our community.
