You cannot just buy land because it is available or affordable, then ask afterwards: “So, what can I do with it?”

That is how people get hurt financially. Before you buy land, understand the planning intelligence behind it:
• What is legally allowed?
• What is the future plan for the area?
• Is infrastructure available?
• Are surrounding land uses compatible?
• Are there restrictions?
• And does the land actually make economic sense for your intended investment?

Every plot sits within a bigger spatial plan, be it a City, town, village or masimo. Never look at the plot alone; understand the bigger picture.

Serious Investors & Companies have Town Planners as part of their advisory team and carry out feasibility studies before buying land, not when they want to build and require planning permission at council.

Her presence on the Pan-African Entrepreneurship track speaks to more than professional excellence. It reflects the growing call for African planners to think beyond borders and shape spaces that carry economic, institutional and regional significance.
