🤝Strengthening Strategic Partnerships for a Digital Future.

Today 18th June, Statistics Botswana had the pleasure of hosting a Metrofile delegation led by Acting Managing Director, Mr. Paul Gwata, who paid a courtesy call on Statistician General, Dr.Khaufelo Raymond Lekobane.
The engagement focused on strengthening collaboration between the two organisations through the introduction of PaperTrail and other innovative records and information management solutions. Discussions also explored opportunities to enhance the existing partnership, which supports the secure storage, management, retrieval, and preservation of Statistics Botswana's information assets.
Partnerships such as these are critical in advancing information governance, operational efficiency, and digital transformation as we continue to deliver quality official statistics for Botswana.

Statistics Botswana employees today gave a rousing guard of honor to our very own Mogotsi "Jomo" Morewanare following his remarkable achievement at the world-renowned Comrades Marathon in South Africa. Jomo's determination, discipline, resilience, and commitment saw him conquer one of the world's toughest ultra-marathons, earning a coveted Silver Medal and bringing immense pride to the Statistics Botswana family. As colleagues lined up to celebrate his achievement, the atmosphere was filled with excitement, admiration, and appreciation for a man who has demonstrated that excellence is achieved through hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering spirit. Congratulations, Jomo! Your achievement inspires us all to go the extra mile, both on the road and in life.....👏👏👏

Today Statistics Botswana joins the African Community in commemorating The Day of African Child under the theme, "Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa”. This day honors those who participated in the Soweto Uprising in 1976, and is celebrated every year on the 16th of June.
