The 10แตสฐ Belize GeoEducation Expo was a truly historic occasion. We kicked off strong with inspiring keynote remarks from CEO of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, Mrs. Dian Maheia, setting the tone for a day centered on innovation, learning, and opportunity.
Students poured into the expo floor, buzzing with curiosity and excitement to explore all things GIS. Booth after booth came alive with hands-on demonstrations, as exhibitors showed how technology is transforming education and real-world problem solving in Belize.
From the ArcGIS Test Drive Station to the Virtual Reality experience and Interactive Atlas maps, students didnโt just observe, they engaged. The drone flying obstacle course was a standout, elevating the experience and showcasing the power of applied technology in action.
After a full day of discovery, students cashed in their knowledge points for prizes, ending on a high note.
The expo showcased how students are already engaging with modern geography and its practical role in Belize.
Stay tuned for more post-event updates!
