As the spring begins we are very much busy cutting frame parts to assemble later. This year promises to be very good as there has been abundamt rain. All water sheds are full to capasity. Good amount of mousture in the ground translate in good honey yields. Its time to supplement your colonies change okd queens, replace old dark combs and have equipment and abundant wax sheets to add to your colonies.

Today is the second day of February. We finally manage to visit this apiary as the roads are not readily accessible due onclement weather. But here we are doing our first check for the year ,the bush had almost over taken the apiary but we need to follow the apiculture calender. First the cleNing of the apiary supplemental feeding, reduction of excessive equipment , reduction of pest including mites and beetles. In thus case we will de eliminating the small hive beetle using a simple divice and syrup. Just follow and see.
