Six years ago today, I started this business with no idea what I was actually doing. Just my computer, way too many energy drinks, and a stubborn belief that I could figure it out as I went.

Six years later, here we are.

I've worked with businesses I never imagined I'd get to work with, learned more than any course could have taught me, and somehow turned "I think I can do social media for people" into an actual career.

Nobody wakes up excited about bookkeeping. They wake up tired of not knowing where their money went, dreading tax season, or guessing at whether they can actually afford that next hire.

That's what you're selling. The bookkeeping is just how you deliver it.

So instead of "we do bookkeeping", try "you'll always know what you can actually spend". Instead of "monthly reconciliation", try "no more surprises in April". Instead of "bookkeeping services", try "the peace of mind that comes from knowing your numbers".

Same work. Completely different reason to care.

I get it. Hiding behind graphics and stock photos feels safer than talking to a camera. But safe doesn't build trust, and trust is what turns a follower into a client.

The bookkeepers whose DMs are full of "I feel like I already know you" energy are the ones who show up on camera, even when it's just a 10-second Story about closing out August's books.

You don't need perfect lighting or a script. You need to exist as a real person your ideal client can picture actually working with.

If you've been hiding behind your feed instead of showing up in it, this is your sign. Nobody hires a logo. They hire you.
