It takes a special kind of person to be anywhere inside that arena.

The riders, strapping their hand to 1,800 pounds of bad intentions that wants them off. The bullfighters, standing flat-footed in the dirt, ready to step between a bull and a downed cowboy. The pickup men, riding into the middle of it to rope the bull clear. The clown and announcer keep the people amped up till the next rider is ready.

This is not for the faint of heart...

Our downtown businesses are still open through all of this and need your support. If you can, please stop down and visit their amazing shops!!

Update: the city has revised the Pleasant Valley Boulevard North timeline.
Spoiler Alert: The order of the last two stages has changed from what I showed in my last video.

Short version: Chapman is now doing all the Phase 2 work in front of Shepherd's first, and the Shepherd's Lane closure has been pushed to about four weeks later.

▪️ Now: PV Blvd North closed from Mill Street to Shepherd's Lane. Get to the west businesses via Mill → Wood Ave → Shepherd's Lane.

▪️ Next four weeks (Phase 2): Traffic keeps flowing south on Shepherd's Lane and north on PV Blvd North. Parking on the south side, and on the north side where marked.

▪️ After that (Step 2): Shepherd's Lane closes for about a week to tie into PV Blvd North. Traffic routes west on PV Blvd North from Mill Street. Parking on the south side.

Expect flaggers, dust, noise, and some delays. Access to businesses is being maintained wherever possible, everyone down there is still open and need your support.

Any photos, videos, or data you capture must respect people’s privacy.

As drone technology becomes more widely used, it’s important to remember that privacy laws still apply.

Whether you fly recreationally or professionally, you’re responsible for knowing what rules you need to follow in the sky. Certain actions even cross into criminal offences, such as:
🔍 Voyeurism
⚠️ Mischief
😠 Creating a nuisance
🏛️ Violating provincial or municipal bylaws
