🚒 MEET THE FLEET: PUMPER 311

Meet Pumper 311 — a 2023 MetalFab/Freightliner and an important part of the Aylmer Fire Department fleet.

Pumper 311 is equipped with:

💧 1,500 GPM Waterous pump — capable of moving up to 1,500 gallons of water per minute

🚒 1,305-gallon water tank — providing an onboard water supply when crews arrive on scene

🫧 30-gallon foam tank with FoamPro system — allowing firefighters to apply firefighting foam when needed

Pumper 311 also carries essential rescue and safety equipment, including the Jaws of Life to assist with vehicle extrications and breathing apparatuses to help keep firefighters safe while working in hazardous conditions.

Pumpers are designed to bring firefighters, equipment and an immediate water supply to an emergency while also connecting to hydrants or other water sources for continued firefighting operations.

The next time you see Pumper 311 out in the community, you’ll know a little more about what it brings to the scene!

When charging on a plane, keep portable charging devices on the tray table. Do not charge devices in overhead compartments and never charge e-cigarettes or vapes on a plane. If a battery overheats or fails, it is important for the flight crew to be able to respond quickly.

Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or colour, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire.
