Hello Facebook!

I've been neglecting you for too long. I'll have to do a large upload of photos soon to make up for all my posting slacking - I've got quite a few albums and favs I'd love to show you. I'm just not very good at keeping this page up to date. I apologize!

It was a busy summer. I got some great shots of fun in the sun, and now we're into the cozy of fall...I do have some spots left for some last minute bookings if you'd like to grab a session before the gorgeous leaves are all gone. Sweaters and scarves make for some fabulous photos! Contact me to get yourselves in before I'm booked up.

And now, onto some more fun stuff: Yes, I certainly will be hosting a Christmas Mini this year! I've got a tentative date planned for Nov 9th. I'll make the official announcement shortly, with all the details, just as soon as I pull myself out of denial and finally put my flip flops away (and by "away" I mean "into my suitcase" -- I'm headed to Punta Cana in a few weeks to shoot a wedding :)

When I do a photo session, I can't help but become emotionally bonded with my clients. After all, that is the entire point of the session - for me to see right into them, to find what makes them different, what is special, something unique and amazing about each and every person in front of my camera. For that one hour, I get let in to witness a family's love, their silliness and closeness, a couple's intimacy and a newborn's first connections with this world. When I shoot a wedding, I cry right along with the bride. My favourite images are always the ones I have an emotional response to, and a lot of my clients can vouch for that, as they get txts, emails or phone calls with my excitement that I just can't hold in as I go through and edit their photos. In a way, I find myself falling in love with every session I do. And when I get to shoot a session with someone I know personally...it's almost like getting to spend time with an old flame, that same feeling of familiarity, rediscovering them in a whole new way this time around.

I'm shooting a maternity session today and I'm looking so forward to sharing this special time. Thank you for the honour, dear Katy.

Why is a Father's Day Mini-Session so perfect? Cause let's face it -- we all know Dads don't normally enjoy these things! They do it to make Mom happy. So if we keep it short and sweet, it'll be a whole lot easier to get him there! Plus, he can bring his favourite toys. And hey, enter the contest...if it's free, he just might enjoy it!

Finally! Spring is springing and I'm feeling the buds of inspiration. Time to plan my next mini-session. Preparing is almost as much fun as shooting. Almost!

I haven't even fully unpacked yet and I'm already counting down for my next trip! Destination weddings are quickly becoming my new love. Headed to Punta Cana next time and I can't wait!
