The collision was today.
Moment of pause to reflect. So many icebergs.
How we navigate together has never been so important.

37 Seconds.

April 14, 1912. 11:40 PM.

Lookout Frederick Fleet spots it.

“Iceberg, right ahead.”

Three bell rings. Phone call to the bridge.

First Officer Murdoch has 37 seconds.

He orders:

Hard a-starboard
Full speed astern

The ship turns.

Too late.

The iceberg tears open five compartments.

Titanic was built to survive four.

Five = fatal.

Here’s the part most people miss:

Fleet had no binoculars.
