This pic was taken Sunday (Oct. 4) with Beth Foster who presented Forest Bathing at our August meeting.

She was an amazing speaker!

Shirley shares: "I went with my son Jason on Beth’s walk in the Gables Park. It included a minstrel who led us through 4 fun songs at different stop points while Beth taught us about being present with the Forest and Trees.
It was marvelous and fun!"

We love sharing moments of our members being out and in the community!

Have you ever been forest bathing?

"This summer I made it my mission to connect with as many members as possible.

I wanted to raise awareness about the important role native plants play in providing the best food source of sweet nectar for our precious pollinators.

I was delighted to help plant cup plants, my favourite native plant, in a number of Probus members’ gardens.

l love cup plants as they will grow up to 8 feet tall and their roots will grow down to a depth of 15 feet.

Those deep, deep roots help store carbon and accumulate carbon in the ground.

This means cup plants not only feed our pollinators, but they help reduce GHG’s .

My message is “If we feed the pollinators, then they will feed us!”
Gwen

We love sharing member moments!

Are you a plant person??
