🏌️ Our annual Herbert J. Powell Memorial Golf Tournament is coming up, and we’re kicking off the fundraising with another great prize draw in support of the Alzheimer Society of NL!

This draw is open to AGD customers and staff and features over $500 in prizes, proudly featuring local products generously donated by D***o Brewery, The Newfoundland Distillery, YellowBelly Brewery, Marshall’s Cornerstop, and Atlantic Grocery Distributors!

Entries are available with a $5 donation each or 5 entries with a $20 donation, and again, every single dollar raised will be donated to the Alzheimer Society of NL, along with the proceeds from the golf tournament fundraiser as well.

If you’ve ever worked with Atlantic Grocery Distributors, chances are you’ve had the pleasure of dealing with our very own Leigh. 💙

Leigh is one of those people who quietly keeps so many things moving behind the scenes. Whether she’s helping customers, supporting our team, or making sure the details are taken care of, she brings the same level of care, dedication, and heart to everything she does. She truly is someone our organization can always count on.

Around the Powell Group of Companies, though, Leigh has earned another title… 🌭 “The Hot Dog Lady!” For years, she’s been the one keeping everyone fed at our staff BBQs and community events, making sure every hot dog is cooked, every burger is served, and helping ensure every event runs smoothly with a smile.

So when our friends at Maple Leaf dropped off this Hot Dog Manager t-shirt, there wasn’t a single debate about who it belonged to. It had Leigh’s name written all over it. ❤️

Today, Dave Powell our CEO had the pleasure of recognizing some truly incredible members of the AGD family with commemorative jackets in honour of 20+ years of dedicated service.

Two decades (and more!) of early mornings, hard work, teamwork, and commitment is an achievement worth celebrating. The knowledge, loyalty, and passion these team members bring to Atlantic Grocery Distributors have helped shape who we are today, and we’re incredibly grateful for each and every one of them. This weekend was a wonderful reminder of what can be accomplished when people come together for a great cause. 🐻🚛

The Janeway Telethon wrapped up with an incredible $2.8 million raised to help provide life-saving equipment and technology for Newfoundland and Labrador’s children’s hospital. We’re especially proud to share that nearly $70,000 of that total was contributed through the Teddy Bear Convoy.

A heartfelt thank you to the Just For Kids Transportation Group for organizing such a meaningful event, and to our own John and his partner Sharon for representing AGD once again. Your dedication, generosity, and community spirit helped bring smiles to countless faces while supporting children and families across our province.

We’re honoured to be part of a community that continues to show up, give back, and make a difference.
