Lock, Stock & Barrel returns.

After a multi-year pause, our flagship red blend is back with the 2023 vintage.

The name comes from the old expression “lock, stock and barrel” — a reference to the three principal components of a musket. The lock ignites, the stock provides support, and the barrel directs the shot. Separately, each can do little. Together, they become something powerful.

That idea has always been at the heart of this w**e.

The 2023 is a blend of 62% Cabernet Franc and 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, hand-picked and fermented naturally as separate lots before 28 months of élevage in French oak. Only the free-run w**e was used, with the final blend bottled unfined and unfiltered.

For its return, we went back to the original Lock, Stock & Barrel label — inspired by the engraved metal plates and ornamentation of the late 19th and early 20th centuries — finished on an antique green Bordeaux bottle with hand-dipped black wax.

Now available online and our bottle shop.

Three words. Two varieties. One w**e.

A little late to the party (someone decided to go on vacation immediately after our Harvest No. 20 Luncheon 🙋‍♀️), but we’ve finally had some time to sit back, reminisce, and look through all the wonderful moments from a very special afternoon.

With our 20th Harvest officially underway, we can’t help but reflect on how far Rosewood has come. What started with a Promise & a Dream from Eugene & Renata has grown into something pretty incredible. Twenty harvests, countless bottles of w**e, a whole lot of honey, and even more wonderful people along the way.

To Rosewood past, Rosewood present, and Rosewood future: THANK YOU! To everyone who has worked a harvest, spent a summer with us in hospitality, tended to the vines, cared for bees, poured a glass of w**e, or helped bring this place to life, you are all part of the story.

And to our guests, friends, customers, and neighbours who continue to show up, fill our tables, drink our w**e, and support what we do… well, thank you, we’d be here drinking all the w**es ourselves if it wasn’t for you 😉

CHEERS TO 20 HARVESTS, THE PEOPLE WHO MADE THEM POSSIBLE, AND EVERYTHING STILL TO COME ❤️
