To support the creation of additional permanent private sector employment through the provision of advisory and investment services to small business. To assist in the establishment of new small businesses. To act as a catalyst between business and other community organizations with the intention of developing an economic climate in the Trenval area conducive to job creation. As a Canada-Ontario Business Service Centre (COBSC), we provide access to accurate, timely and relevant information for the business community on over 1,100 business-oriented programs and services offered by the federal and provincial governments. Online Learning – More than 125 hands-on courses online to help you move forward in your business. Click here for instructions and click here to browse the online learning website. Information Officers – Available to guide you through the wealth of programs and services that apply to the business community. Business links – The COBSC Web Site provides access to hundreds of carefully categorized links to government and business sites containing useful information as well as helpful business links for global commerce that will be of value to entrepreneurs. Resource Library – The Trenval library contains over 500 books written by business people who have “been there and done that”. Come in, sit in comfort in our resource area and do your business research, or sign out a book for a week.

Trenval Business Development Corporation is seeking expressions of interest from individuals interested in joining our Board of Directors!🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️

As the regional delivery organization for both the federally funded Community Futures Program and the Province of Ontario’s Small Business Centre Program, Trenval supports entrepreneurs and communities through business financing, advisory services, and economic development initiatives.

We are looking for experienced leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, and community builders who are ready to help guide Trenval through an exciting phase of growth and innovation!📈

The Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI) has re-launched two funding programs to help Ontario SMEs digitally modernize!🚀

Eligible businesses can access up to $15,000 through the Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP) to create a customized digital roadmap, with additional implementation funding opportunities of up to $50,000 available through follow-on programs.

Small retailers can also apply for up to $5,000 through the Retail Modernization Project Grant (RMPG) to upgrade software and hardware solutions like POS systems.

Interested in learning more? Robyn Binsfeld will be hosting office hours at the Bay of Quinte Business Centre on the third Thursday of every month and businesses are encouraged to book an appointment with her directly at [email protected]!
