That's OOF!

That's me! :)

I'm an honours graduate of the Loyalist College Advertising program and have been designing for small businesses (and a few big) since 2005. I not only have a keen interest in design, but also the psychology and science behind it. There are many little facets of advertising that people neglect which contributes to the poor return on your advertising dollars.

Asked to design another book cover. I was given this info to go on:

"I see the cover based on the opening paragraph.

The entrance to a new hospital, a man (features indistinct) standing outside smoking a cigarette. It is January, dark and snowing lightly. The lights from inside the building and the lit tip of the cigarette contrast with the early-morning darkness."

This was the result. Again, no revisions. :D Author was ecstatic.

Recent design. Jim Corbett is writing his first book and he was interested in my designing his second book as his first book cover had already been designed. While we were talking we discussed his first cover design (not yet published) and I gave him an honest critique of the design. I said that I would like him to put his best foot forward being it was his first book and I felt the initial design didn't do that for him. He trusted me and put the redesign in my hands.

He loved it. No revisions required, a second book cover design job started for him and another author is now interested in my designing for his children's book. :D

First designs for Earl & Angelo's. Wine list also in the works.

Earl's doesn't classify itself as fine dining and has turned down its awards for Choice Fine Dining in Belleville on a number of occasions. Earl's wishes to establish itself as a place where you can receive great service and enjoy fine food without being pretentious or stuffy.

So comes the catch phrase: Casual dining for the sophisticated palate. :)
