Today is kind of a bittersweet day, one that comes after a couple months of hard thought and in depth conversations with family, friends, and peers. Today we officially announce the end of Rainy Creek Farms Custom Livestock Hauling. A lot of factors have contributed to this decision including the rising cost of running equipment up and down the road and the unwelcoming response to increased rates and now to top it off the vaccine mandate to cross the border just added another hurdle.
But at this time I’d also like to thank some people.. first off is a huge thank you to my wife Melissa who has supported me in more ways then one through the ups and downs of this journey.. from hauling buffalo with me to hauling $100,000 bulls for me to calving out all our cows while I was on the road. Another huge shout out goes to two great neighbours that have always been able to drop what they’re doing to help Melissa when I was on the road! Huge thanks to Stefon & Becca Beechinor and Logan & Dawn Thevenaz. Lastly to all the purebred sales management teams, Transcon, Bohrson, Firstclass, T bar C, & OBI.. thank you all for the support of our small company over the last couple years. Our success wouldn’t have been possible without you all.
We met a ton of great people through this business in all breeds, so much so that we decided we wanted to be apart of the purebred cattle industry ourselves. So with that we decided to start a small purebred simmental herd of our own, with this new endeavour lead us to some other exciting opportunities that we will now focus on moving forward.
Thank you again to everyone who used & trusted our services!
