📢 Community Notice: Upcoming Survey Work
Planview USL will be surveying throughout the community to collect pole line data as part of the ongoing fibre optic internet infrastructure project.

📅 When?
June 15 – June 24, 2026
Work will occur during regular daylight hours.

👷 Who will be on-site?
Two qualified surveyors from Planview USL.

✅ What to expect:
- Surveyors will wear high-visibility safety vests and carry identification
- Work is non-invasive and observational only
- No digging, no tree cutting, and minimal disruption
- All activities will follow strict safety protocols

🔥 June 12, 2026: Fire Ban Lifted🔥

Effective immediately, the fire ban declared on June 4, 2026, has been lifted.

Campfires and other forms of open-air burning are once again permitted. Please continue to use caution, never leave a fire unattended and always keep a means of extinguishing it nearby.

Whitefish River First Nation will continue to monitor fire hazard conditions and provide updates if conditions change.

June 4, 2026 -🚨 FIRE BAN IN EFFECT🚨

Effective immediately, the lighting of fires in all areas and boundaries of Whitefish River First Nation is prohibited.

During a total fire ban no person shall light, or allow to remain alight, any fire in an open area, any outdoor incinerator or any cooking fire or device other than a gas barbecue or cooker.

This prohibited fire ban will remain in force until revoked by further notice. Please participate in keeping our territory safe by complying with this ban.
