For Immediate Release!

OFG has decided that we will not be hiring anytime soon. The operation will be place on hold until such time we see a more supportive Government.

This is what we asked
$500,000.00 loan to help repair damages to buildings from major breaks in. This is a loan under business development anyone can apply for. We have been 4 years waiting and has spent $40,000 in paper work to meet there demands. We still have not had answer on if we are approve or not.

Also we asked for a $150,000.00 marketing grant, anyone in business can apply for this. To date no answer on anything.

We also asked that NL gets on par with the rest of Canada regarding natural stone. NL is the only province you need a mineral license. This cost thousands. We have followed what they required and we have mineral claims to Upper Christmas lake Quarry.

Our deal with the dragons will be place on hold until Government is ready to support business.

We have lost so much work and so much employment that I believe there needs to be accountability. This is the people’s money they are spending.

Below is one project we were awarded but had to turn down due to lack of support from province. This project is the Queens Marque in Halifax. It’s a world class shopping, hotel building on the water side downtown. This project could have been up to $10 million in rock. Polycor the largest natural stone company few to NL and wanted to give us the work. They would ship there rock to NL we would process it and send back. It would have been a great project and a great step made with the largest natural stone company.

OFG will keep everyone updated as things progress, but as of now if government don’t change our province won’t have anyone left here in the years to come.
