Selling Whipped Tallow

125 mL jars for $30

Sells anywhere else for approx $45 for 60mL (insanity)

Will have the following:

Frankincense - antiseptic properties, tones and cleanses, heals and soothes

Tea tree - blemish reducing

Rosemary - improves tone, reduces acne

Patchouli - soothes irritated skin, toning and acne management

Tallow cream benefits include deep moisturizing, nourishing skin with essential vitamins (A, D, E, K).

Tallow's fatty acid profile is similar to human sebum, it is easily absorbed and helps support the skin's natural barrier minus a million additives you can’t pronounce.

I have had some interest in chicks so have decided to set another batch.

I will only put enough eggs in to fill a couple orders and this is for sure the final batch of the season.

Right now I have room for 30 more eggs.

I have 90-95% hatch rate

Chicks are a mix of BCM, light buffed Brahma and barred rock.

10 healthy 1 week week old chicks for sale.

Back yard mix - large majority being barred rock and black copper maran. Others are light buffed brahams and Easter eggers with light green to olive eggs. High probability of pure bred barred if you choose black chicks with white spot on their heads .

$6/chick

For reference on health…I put 45 eggs in the incubator and 41 hatched…100% hatch rate on those fertilized. The only ones that didn’t hatch are the four not fertilized

This crockpot phase for keeping water thawed in coops has got me worried.

Crockpots are for household use FULL STOP!

Ideally incubators should be cleaned before they are stored. And in this house, this is the first year they haven’t been.

Remove all parts, wash with mild soap and allow to dry fully!

I believe in the sun as a healer, so it is best to do this on a day you can set your incubator in the sun to kill off any nasty inhabitants.

Sometimes life gets in the way, however we must always enjoy the fact that we get the job done! ✌️

Oh my goodness!! I have been so quiet over here. Work has taken over and all the things have been stored in the freezer for any upcoming days off.

Yesterday, I rendered tallow and made some whipped tallow lotion!

It is unbelievably lovely!

1 cup softened tallow
1/4 cup olive oil
Essential oils to suit your taste.

Whip until fluffy. Store at room temperature and use within a year

Quail are always so busy!

27 out of 38 eggs hatched.

21 quail left looking for a new home.

That being said the fertility rate is high if anyone needs hatching eggs!

Will cut a deal on the lot, or more than 10.

The only barter I am accepting at this time is this years hay - must be good quality eating hay.

After much discussion we have decided to offer fresh chicken this year.

Whole chicken will be available beginning in September for $4/pound!

Chicken will be processed at a licensed facility.
