There's a downside to loving senior dogs.

There's a price to pay when you open your heart and home to them.

The downside is always sleeping with one eye open from feeling so worried if they're doing OK.

The downside is having to hear from their owners about the new challenges they're facing that comes with their old age.

And that price is not knowing if when you send them back home to their PAWrents if you're ever going to see them again.

The price to pay is knowing it's inevitable, but it's still a tough pill to swollow.

We last cared for Millie just under a month ago. When I sent her home that time I gave her an extra long hug and kiss goodbye. Just in case.

Now I'm glad I did.

Millie: We maybe knew you looked like you were 15 years old, but you sure kept the fire going in you and you sure didn't act like it. You were the kindest, gentlest soul. Of all the many shadows I have, you were my favorite one and I always had to make sure my Millie shadow was with me. Even if you were a little slow getting there, you still always found me.

We love senior dogs around here, but it comes with a price. It comes with a heartbreak when they cross the rainbow bridge. 🌈

Tee off at the legendary Bonnyville Golf and Country Club for an 18-hole Texas Scramble, all while supporting the Dragonfly Centre’s mission of providing free, confidential support services.

Includes green fee, cart (please check off if you require a cart as we understand some people/organizations own their own), a full round of golf, BBQ lunch, banquet dinner, fun and tasty freebies along the course, and a chance to win many fabulous prizes including a brand new Can-Am Side by Side by 54 North.

Field Heat Treatment Technicians.
Journeyman Machinists.
Field Labourers

Work will be in the Cold Lake / Bonnyville area, as well as in remote camp settings. Helix is located in Bonnyville therefore no camp/housing provided when working local.

Must have H2S, CSTS, first aid, must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, clean driver’s abstract (commercial where applicable), class 3 drivers license an asset.
