Will You Be Our First Heart? ❤️

We're already halfway through the month, and not a single donation has been given for our Act Of Kindness.

Our donation table is still empty, and not one heart has been filled out. 💔

Every heart represents an act of kindness that helps the animals in our care. Every item and every dollar makes a difference.

Donations can be dropped off anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., or if you'd prefer to give financially, you can send an e-transfer to [email protected]

Thank you for supporting the animals who need us most.

Our most recent items:
8 x 11 paper
Denta Stixx
Crystal Cat Litter
Cat litter
Bleach
Laundry Detergent
Postage Stamps

Help us turn an empty table into one filled with hearts. ❤️

There's a downside to loving senior dogs.

There's a price to pay when you open your heart and home to them.

The downside is always sleeping with one eye open from feeling so worried if they're doing OK.

The downside is having to hear from their owners about the new challenges they're facing that comes with their old age.

And that price is not knowing if when you send them back home to their PAWrents if you're ever going to see them again.

The price to pay is knowing it's inevitable, but it's still a tough pill to swollow.

We last cared for Millie just under a month ago. When I sent her home that time I gave her an extra long hug and kiss goodbye. Just in case.

Now I'm glad I did.

Millie: We maybe knew you looked like you were 15 years old, but you sure kept the fire going in you and you sure didn't act like it. You were the kindest, gentlest soul. Of all the many shadows I have, you were my favorite one and I always had to make sure my Millie shadow was with me. Even if you were a little slow getting there, you still always found me.

We love senior dogs around here, but it comes with a price. It comes with a heartbreak when they cross the rainbow bridge. 🌈
