👻 HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY, SUPERNATURAL MYSTERIES INC.! 👻
Three years ago today, on August 21, 2023, Supernatural Mysteries Inc. officially began.
And what an incredible three years it has been.
When SMI started, the vision was actually pretty simple: bring together a group of like-minded people who share a genuine curiosity about the paranormal, investigate with respect and professionalism, gather evidence, learn from one another… and have a whole lot of fun doing it.
Three years later, I am incredibly grateful for what that vision has become.
We have built an amazing team of people who can walk into a dark, reportedly haunted building together, spend hours talking to people we can’t see, get ridiculously excited when a REM Pod lights up (or plays a tune)… and somehow consider this a perfectly normal way to spend a Saturday night. 👻
But underneath all of the laughs, late nights, equipment, road trips and investigations is something I am incredibly proud of: our team.
We don’t all have to believe the same things. We don’t have to interpret every experience the same way. What brings us together is our curiosity, our respect for the locations we enter, our desire to gather evidence, and our willingness to explore the unexplained with an open mind.
I am also incredibly grateful for every museum, historic site, business and private location that has trusted Supernatural Mysteries Inc. and given us the opportunity to investigate over these past three years.
We never take that privilege lightly.
Every location has a history. Every building has a story. And being trusted to walk through those doors after dark, learn about the people who came before us, and investigate what may still remain is something we are truly grateful for.
Professionalism has always been extremely important to us. We take pride in respecting the history, the property, the people connected to these locations and, of course, the paranormal field itself.
We’ve experienced things that have made us laugh, things that have given us goosebumps, things that have left us scratching our heads, and moments that we’ll probably be talking about for years to come.
We’ve made memories.
We’ve made friendships.
We’ve learned.
We’ve grown.
And we’ve gathered some pretty interesting evidence along the way.
Most importantly, we’ve had FUN.
These last three years have honestly been some of the best, and my heart is incredibly full thinking about everything we’ve already experienced together.
To every SMI team member, every location that has opened its doors to us, every person who has attended one of our public investigations, and everyone who follows, shares, supports and cheers us on…

And the best part?
We’re only three years in.
We can’t wait to see where this journey takes our amazing team next, what locations we’ll have the privilege of walking into, what evidence we’ll capture, what friendships we’ll make, and what mysteries are still waiting for us in the dark. 👻
