Had an amazing customer appreciation open-house on Sunday! Terry and I were overwhelmed by all the love and support from the close to 60 people who attended.
So much fun and a great way to wind down the store. My heart is full. 💕💕💕

The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind, since announcing the store closing on March 3rd, ….3 weeks from today. Everyone’s kind comments and best wishes for my retirement have touched my heart. ❤️
…Feeling so blessed. 🙏
There will be a customer appreciation open-house on Sunday March 1st at the store from noon to 4 pm. Hoping to see you there to share some laughs, memories and munchies.

Important message to my valued customers:

It is with mixed emotions that I’m writing this to all of you.
During the last 12 years I have met the most amazing customers and friends at my wine shop and have looked forward each day to spending time with you and sharing in good conversation about important life moments, the weather, and just everyday life while you bottled your wine. I treasure these relationships as one of my life’s richest blessings.
Just over a month ago, I was approached by another business wanting to rent the space where Vintner’s is located. The offer that was made was a complete and unexpected surprise. After carefully weighing the offer and the ability to join my husband in retirement, against the toll the last few years of lugging heavy wines and carboys has had on my aching hips, knee and ankles, plus my advancing age, I have made the difficult decision to accept the offer and close my Vintner’s Cellar business down as of March 3rd 2026.
I feel terribly that this is such short notice of closing and recognize that there is significant impact to all of you - my amazing, loyal and wonderful customers but hope you can understand that I had to make the best decision I could at this point in my life for my health, well-being and family. I would love to be able to say good-bye to any customers who want to stop buy and will set up a couple of days near the end of February for that to happen at the store. Stay tuned for that information.
If you know someone who would like to take over the well-established Vintner’s at another location in the Bowmanville area, let me know and I can connect you with the franchise owner. I have all the equipment to give someone a great start at a great price!
All remaining water card credits, as well as any purchased unused gift certificates will be reimbursed.
Although the timing is bad, I’m on vacation for the next week, so Sarah will be looking after the store. After today, I will be back on February 5th.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart – it has been a privilege and an honour to know all of you and I’m looking forward to personally chatting with you over the course of the next 5 weeks as many of you bottle your wine. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Tues Jan 27th - Thurs Jan 29th: 10 am - 4 pm
Fri Jan 30th: 10 am - 2 pm
Sat Jan 31st: store closed
Tues Feb 3rd/Wed Feb 4th: 10 am - 2 pm
Thurs Feb 4th: Back to regular store hours

A bit of a milestone. 🍷🎉
Sale # 10,000. Some receipts are for water or wine supples but quite a few receipts are for 2 or more batches of wine. At the bare minimum, 300,000 bottles of delicious Vintner’s Cellar wine has left my store!
So very thankful for my awesome clientele and for all your support. You make every day a joy! 🤗
