Microblading is a manual, semi-permanent method. Also referred to as embroidery, 3D brows, microstroking or brow resurrection it yields natural, crisp strokes that resemble hair. It is done by hand, using a very fine blade to deposit a small amount of ink into the skin. Manually done, Microblading looks like hair. It is considered semi-permanent and lasts 1-3 years. Less invasive than the permanen
t method, it rivals the look of real eyebrows. All the pigment is impacted into the epidermal layer of the skin - the one that naturally renews itself on a regular basis. Because we're introducing pigment so close to the surface of the skin, we're able to emulate the look of real hair. Unfortunately, for the same reason, these are considered to be semi-permanent. Don't let the terminology deter you - that doesn't mean they'll only last a little while. They will last for as long as they're being maintained. Regular touch ups are recommended to keep the strokes crisp and fresh. Healthy skin, without any underlying pathological factors usually requires a top up every six to eight months. This, of course varies greatly from individual to individual. Shaping is the first and in my opinion, most important step. I strive to include my clients into the decision making process to help alleviate some of the anxiety. As for pain, a topical anesthetic is administered for all treatments, but there is some discomfort associated with the procedure. It has been likened to threading and tends to be more irritating than painful. Microblading is a two-step process, consisting of initial procedure and a touch up to be completed 4-8 weeks after. This method is a lot kinder to the skin than the old method done with a machine. Redness and swelling dissipate within an hour after the treatment and no permanent scarring takes place. During the healing process, your brows will go through a very interesting ride - at first, they appear dark and well defined. After about a week to ten days, the color will fade slightly and the definition will soften. There's no down time, so there's no need to take a day off work. Microblading is becoming an incredibly popular treatment, as more and more people favor the fine results that it offers. The pigment is implanted in the basal membrane, which divides the epidermis from the Dermis layer of the skin. This technique is therefore more superficial than tattooing. The strokes appear crisp and very fine, because they are impacting colour closer to the surface and there is no spilling under the skin. This method is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are really natural looking like true hairs, regardless of the amount of real hair present. This amazing Eye Brow treatment suits people who have the wrong Brow shape, over plucked eyebrows, loss of hair or patchy areas that will not grow back or through medical reasons, such as Alopecia or chemotherapy. Microblading gently enhances your natural features, giving clients more confidence in their overall appearance. Individuals suffering from alopecia or any other condition that causes hair loss will benefit greatly from Microblading in addition to those who are simply not happy with the size, shape or position of their eyebrows.
