Something new is coming to BHive.
A new way for businesses to explore what AI can actually do — not someday, but now.

Research shows that nearly 90% of Canadians say they want humans involved throughout AI development. This is a signal about what earns trust in the market.

For founders building AI-powered solutions, having a human-in-the-loop is a business model decision. It shapes how your product gets adopted, how investors assess your risk, and how customers decide whether to rely on what you’ve built.

From governments using AI to make policy decisions, to the tools we use in our day-to-day work — how do we decide when a human needs to be in the loop?

Our blog breaks down what human-in-the-loop AI actually means in practice, why Canadian buyers and partners are asking about it, and how founders can build it into their workflows from day one.

Most brands know what they want to say, but they struggle to show it.

That’s the gap Ashesh Arora built his company around, a creative studio specializing in portrait photography, personal branding, and visual content for startups, founders, and premium brands who need creative that actually lands.

Through Brampton NEXT Cohort 3, Ashesh sharpened his positioning and went to market with clarity. He’s already at revenue stage, with work including a full brand activation for a Live Action RPG startup, a complete rebrand for Chatorey’s restaurant, and fashion portrait campaigns turned into full creative concepts.

What makes a city truly great for founders? It’s not just the resources, it’s also the people behind them who are accessible, invested, and ready to walk the journey with you.

At BHive, we see it every day. Founders who arrive with an idea and leave with a network. Newcomers who find not just support, but community. A city that meets ambition with infrastructure.

The connections between founders, mentors, and ecosystem partners are foundational.

To everyone in our community, thank you for your continuted support!

Meet Andaleeb Khan, founder of CareO Tech Inc.

CareO is a platform reimagining how families find culturally and linguistically matched caregivers for their loved ones post-discharge.

Andaleeb identified a gap in home healthcare. Families often struggle to find caregivers who speak their language and understand their culture. CareO bridges that gap by connecting families with Internationally Educated Health Professionals who truly understand their needs.

Incredibly proud to have had Andaleeb as part of Brampton NEXT Cohort 3. Follow Andaleeb to stay updated on what’s coming next for her team!

We hope you had a great Family Day yesterday! 🧡

At BHive, we’re looking back at the teams who prove that family trust is a massive startup advantage.

Whether it’s spouses Andaleeb and Anees Khan (CareO Tech) or mother-daughter duo Jyoti and Archana Sharma (Chromatic Solutions), these founders leverage a unique bond to navigate the highs and lows of building a business.

Scaling a company is a marathon—and it’s a lot easier when you’re running it with the people who know you best.

This January, Sarah Khetty, Director of Marketing at Maple Lodge Farms, joined our BHive founders for a session on Pricing Strategy.

The workshop helped founders move beyond guesswork and adopt a strategic approach to monetization. Sarah covered different pricing models, how to use customer feedback strategically, and how to conduct amazing competitor analysis.

Our founders walked away with:
· A clear understanding of the intrinsic link between pricing and target consumers
· Definitions with examples of various pricing frameworks and where they are most effective
· One-on-one guidance on how to apply learnings to their particular businesses

A smart pricing strategy can be the difference between a good idea and a scalable business.
