Caregiver Program Updates
The Home Child Care Provider (HCCP) and Home Support Worker Pilot (HSWP) will now open on January 1,2023. This pilot programs allow people living outside Canada to come into Canada and work as caregivers. Each program has a yearly quota of 2750 meaning that the earlier you apply and submit your application the better.
You need a job offer from someone living in Canada for you to be able to apply for this program. If you have a friend or family member in Canada, reach out to them to find out if they can give you a job offer.

Major changes coming for Foreign Workers Canada TFWP
LMIAs will be valid for 18 months, up from nine.
Employers of sectors with demonstrated labour shortages will be allowed to hire up to 30% of their workforce through the TFWP for low-wage positions for one year.
