🚨 IRCC Update: Parents & Grandparents Program (PGP) Paused πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

Important update for families planning to sponsor their parents or grandparents.

Effective July 15, 2026, IRCC has paused the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP).

Here's what you need to know:

❌ IRCC is not accepting new applications.
❌ No new Interest to Sponsor forms will be accepted.
❌ No new invitations to apply will be issued until further notice.
βœ… Existing PGP applications already submitted will continue to be processed.

If you were planning to sponsor your parents or grandparents through the PGP, you'll need to wait for IRCC to announce the reopening of the program.

πŸ’‘ In the meantime, eligible parents and grandparents may still have the option of applying for a Super Visa, allowing them to visit Canada for extended periods.
