Express Entry Update – 7th Draw of September Targets Provincial Nominee Program Candidates

September 29, 2025 - Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the seventh Express Entry draw of September, targeting candidates from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).

Number of invitations issued: 291

CRS score of lowest-ranked candidate invited: 855

Tie-breaking rule: April 08, 2025 at 01:25:29 UTC

This draw highlights IRCC’s ongoing commitment to supporting provinces and territories in addressing their unique labour market needs. Candidates nominated through a provincial program benefit from an additional 600 CRS points, which significantly increases their chances of receiving an invitation.

Express Entry Update – Canadian Experience Class Returns After Three-Month Hiatus

On May 13, 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held its fourth Express Entry draw of the month, inviting 500 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates to apply for permanent residency. This marks the first CEC-specific draw since February 5, 2025.

- Number of Invitations: 500
- Tie-breaking Rule: May 21, 2024, at 17:26:27 UTC

This round follows a three-month pause in CEC-targeted draws. In contrast, the last CEC draw on February 5 invited 4,000 candidates with a lower CRS cut-off of 521 — highlighting increased competition for fewer invitations in this round.
