REVEALING THE GAPS: New Black Labour Market Assessment
A groundbreaking report from the Afro-Caribbean Business Network has uncovered what many in our communities have experienced firsthand - despite high education levels, Black Ontarians continue to face significant barriers in the workplace and entrepreneurial space.
The statistics are eye-opening:

Women make up 51.2% of Ontario's Black workforce
Nearly 60% of Black workers in Ontario are immigrants
Black men earned a median income of $45,200 compared to $63,600 for white men (2019)
Black youth unemployment exceeds 30%
87% report excessive difficulty accessing finance for Black-led businesses

But knowledge is power. This assessment provides concrete recommendations for policymakers, advocacy groups, and business communities to create meaningful change.
